Kai Karadi

👋 Hey! I'm Kai Karadi, a computer engineering student from Mountain View, California.

🏫 I'm currently a student at the University of Illinois studying Computer Engineering.

🚀 I'm passionate about high-performance computing and aspire to work in the chip design industry, developing cutting-edge processors and hardware accelerators. My work focuses on RISC-V processor design, FPGA-based systems, and custom ASIC development.

💻 Recently, I've been working on several exciting hardware projects including:
• A superscalar out-of-order RISC-V processor that achieved 5th place out of 50 teams in design competition
• A custom SAT Solving ASIC currently in tapeout phase with mesh Network-on-Chip architecture
• A real-time 3D renderer on Xilinx FPGA with custom triangle rasterization and HDMI output
• A gesture-based audio instrument using analog circuit design and capacitive sensing

☘️ I also have experience in software development, having worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications developing AI-powered applications including nutrition analysis tools and image generation systems. This combination of hardware and software expertise drives my passion for creating efficient, high-performance computing solutions.
